Patient Notice


We will have no electronic access to patient records due to the IT merger with Marston Medical Centre from 12 noon on Friday 28th October until Monday 31st October at approximately 12 noon.


  • On Friday 28th October from 12 noon until 6.00pm we will be open for emergencies and prescription collections only


  • On Monday 31st October from 8.30am until 12 noon we will be open for emergencies and prescription collections only


  • Bury Knowle will be unable to open on Saturday 29th October




If you require a prescription please ensure that your request is made 48 hours before Thursday 27th October.


We are informed that normal working will be possible from 12 noon on Monday 31st October

Focus on prevention

Flu is infectious and can cause complications if you have an existing medical condition or are in an at risk group.

A flu vaccination is recommended if you

  • are pregnant
  • are 65 or older
  • have one of the following medical conditions - chronic respiratory disease (including asthma and COPD), chronic heart disease, chronic renal disease, immunosuppression due to disease or treatment (e.g. for cancer), diabetes, chronic liver disease or chronic neurological disease (e.g. Stroke and TIA)
  • are a healthcare worker or carer
  • live in a residential or nursing home
  • are a child aged 2, 3, 4 or 5

We are a doctor’s surgery, situated adjacent to Bury Knowle Park on the London Road in Headington, Oxford. For your convenience our centre provides you with easy access to:

Our aim is to provide you with the best possible care in a professional, safe and friendly manner, and to work with you to improve health.

The surgery is in a pleasant position overlooking the park, with on site car and bicycle parking. We are easily accessible from the London Road by foot, car or bus. The building is purpose built single storey, light and spacious, and with easy access for wheelchair users and children in prams or pushchairs. Toilets for people with disabilities and baby changing facilities are also available. We have a wheelchair available for anyone who requires assistance when visiting us. A play area for children is provided. 

All patients are allocated a named Doctor, if you wish to know who your named Doctor is then please contact the practice.
