Midwives

If you are expecting a baby please see your GP who will then refer you on to our team of midwives. They are part of the team that looks after expectant mothers before, during and after childbirth. You need to see the midwives preferably before you are 10 weeks pregnant. During pregnancy, parents soon get to know their midwife very well, so they feel that they always have a "friend" to help them along. In addition to supporting and caring for you, they will be able to give you advice about antenatal testing, healthy eating, exercise, sexual matters, baby feeding ... in fact anything that you might want to talk about.
