The Doctors

The doctors at Bury Knowle Health Centre are Dr Justin Amery, Dr Sarah Chantler, Dr Tamsin Griffith, Dr Melissa Holden, Dr Kate Johnston, Dr Fionnuala Joyce, Dr Michael Nguyen, Dr Emma Pierce, Dr Louise Rutter and Dr Blythe Wilkinson.

Finally, we are fortunate to be joined by GP Registrars every year. Dr Sacha Rajack is with us until January 2009 and Dr Emma Fish joins us in August 2008 until August 2009. GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors in their final year of practical training to become registered as GPs. They spend one year with us in the practice, and bring exciting ideas from their hospital experience.

We work as a team, rather than as a group of individuals, and so are keen to encourage you to consult whichever doctor you prefer. We feel that this allows you to make your own choices, and so enables us to give you the best service possible. You can help us keep our records up to date by letting us know who your preferred or usual doctor is.

Many doctors at Bury Knowle spend some of their time working outside the practice. Dr. Amery is a GP Trainer, and has a special interest in Palliative Care. Dr Rutter and Dr Griffith are also Trainers. A number of the other doctors are Tutors attached to Oxford University Medical School. We feel that these outside interests benefit both ourselves and you, by broadening and deepening our knowledge and experience.
