Reception and Welcome

When you arrive a member of our reception team will welcome you and find out how we can help you. Apart from meeting you personally, they also receive your telephone calls, make your appointments, arrange repeat prescriptions, organise your notes, receive any payments and generally try to make your visit go as smoothly as possible. They will also help new patients through our comprehensive registration procedure.

If you have come for an appointment, the receptionist will enter your arrival on our computer system and invite you to have a seat in our bright and comfortable waiting area. Alternatively please use one of our touch screens situated in the waiting room to book yourself in for your appointment, simply follow the instructions on the screen. Please note, if you are booking in for an urgent appointment, please take one of the red cards that are positioned by the screens and take it with you to your appointment. Also, if you are booking in for a double appointment, you will need to go to reception.

We all try hard to ensure that you are seen on time. If someone needs a little extra time with a doctor or nurse, then appointments may sometimes run a few minutes late.
