Dr Justin Amery (m)

MBBS, MRCGP, DFFP, DRCOG, DCH Justin has been a GP at Bury Knowle since 1994. He is a GP trainer and medical student tutor, and also works in a children’s hospice. He has a particular interest in child health and palliative care, but enjoys seeing patients with any problems. He has a strong link with Africa, where he still works from time to time. His surgeries are on Tuesday all day including Tuesday evenings, Wednesday afternoons, Thursday afternoons and Friday all day.

Dr Blythe Wilkinson (f)

MBBS, MCRGP, DFFP, DRCOG, DCH Dr Blythe Wilkinson has been a GP for 12 years, having trained in the North East and in Oxford. She became a Partner at Bury Knowle 10 years ago, and has three young children. She is happy to see anyone with any problem, and is available on Monday all day, Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings.

Dr Melissa Holden (f)
 BA, BN, BCh, DRCOG, DFFP, MRCGP
Melissa has been a GP for 10 years, having trained in Oxford and Stoke Mandeville. She has been at Bury Knowle for 10 years and became a Partner 6 years ago. You’ll often see Dr Holden around and about on her bike or out walking her geriatric dog. She has a particular interest in addiction problems, minor surgery, dermatology and women’s health but enjoys seeing patients with any problems. She is available on Mondays all day, Tuesdays all day, Wednesday all day (afternoons at Barton) and Thursday afternoons.

Dr Louise Rutter (f)

BM, BCh, MRCGP, DCH, DRCOG, Louise trained at Cambridge and then Oxford, and has been a doctor for over 20 years. She did her GP training locally in Banbury, and really enjoys the variety of general practice and family medicine. She has been at Bury Knowle since 1998. She became a GP trainer in 2004 and very much values that role. “Being involved with teaching new doctors helps my own professional development, and keeps me up-to-date”. Her surgeries are on Monday all day, Thursday mornings and Friday mornings.

Dr Emma Pierce (f)
 BM, DCH, DRCOG, MRCGP, RCGP, DFFP.
Emma qualified from Southampton University in 1996 and has been working at Bury Knowle Health Centre for 8 years. She has a special interest in Drug and Alcohol problems but is happy to see patients with any problems. She has 3 daughters aged 6, 4 and 1. She currently works as a GP Retainer 3 mornings per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. She hopes to increase her working hours when her children are a little older.

Dr Enas Al-Dabagh (f)

Enas works 7 sessions a week - Enas has been a doctor for more than 20 years. She spent many years working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology mostly at the JR hospital, Banbury, Reading and Stock Mandeville. She is a fully qualified gynaecologist before joining general practice in 2004 she did her general practice training in Oxford, and has been working locally since, and become part of the Bury Knowle team in 2009. She works Monday all day (afternoons at Barton), Wednesday pm, Thursday all day, and Friday all day (mornings at Barton). Dr Ruth Imrie (f)

BM BCh, MRCP, MRCGP, DFSRH
Dr Ruth Imrie is currently on maternity leave. Dr Chloe Dallimore will be covering Dr Ruth Imrie’s patients while she is on maternity leave.
Ruth qualified from Oxford University Medical School in 2001, followed by training in general medicine in Glasgow and North West London. She did her GP training in Leicestershire, completing this in 2008. Her post graduate qualifications are MRCP, MRCGP, PGCert Dermatology and Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Her surgeries are on Tuesday all day, Wednesday mornings and Friday all day.

Dr Tania Young (f)

BM BCh Tania graduated from Oxford University medical school in 2005 and has worked as a junior doctor in all the Oxford hospitals. She is currently completing her GP training at Bury Knowle with Dr Amery as her trainer. At present she works all day Wednesday and Friday mornings, but her sessions will increase from August 2011.

Dr Alison Kerr (f)

MB ChB, MRCGP, DCH RCP Alison has been a GP for more than 20 years having trained in Liverpool and St Thomas’ Hospital London. She worked as a GP in Elephant and Castle and Lambeth for nine years; she was a Partner in a General Practice in Streatham, South London. In 2001 she moved to Toronto, Canada with her family returning to Oxford in 2009. Dr Kerr retrained in General Practice in 2010 and she has been at Bury Knowle Health Centre since then. She is happy to see anyone whatever there problem. Her surgeries are on Tuesday all day, Wednesday all day and Friday afternoons.

Dr Andrew Collins (m)

MB BCh MICGP MSc(Tropical Medicine & International Health) DTM&H (diploma in tropical medicine and hygiene) and DCH (diploma in child health) Dr Andrew Collins is a medical graduate of University College Cork, Ireland. After his General Practice training in 1995, he spent almost nine years living and working in Africa initially in a small rural hospital and later in the control of tropical diseases. He has worked in general practice in London, Ireland and more recently moved to Oxford. His special interests include tropical/travel medicine and minor surgery. His surgeries are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all day. He will be working in Barton on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Dr Vicky O'Brien (f)

Dr Vicky O’Brien graduated from Bristol in 2005, and initially spent 4 years in general medicine, gaining MRCP. She moved to Oxford in 2009 to start GP training, and is now in her final year after 18 months in hospital specialties and 6 months in a rural GP practice. During this time, she sat the DRCOG (diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology). She is happy to see patients with any problem, and works every day except Tuesdays. Dr Vicky O’Brien has had a hearing loss since childhood and may ask you to ensure you are looking at her during the consultation.

Dr Caitlin Chasser (f) Dr Caitlin Chasser qualified in 2004 from the University of Manchester. Before working at Bury Knowle she worked in General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology based at several Manchester and London Teaching Hospitals. She completed her GP training in 2010 in London before moving to Oxford. She has a special interest in Women’s Health, Substance Misuse and Medical Education. Her surgeries are on Monday (all day), Tuesday (all day), Wednesday (morning), Thursday (afternoon) and Friday (all day). |
